When Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem, He enters as its King (although lowly and humble as He sat upon the donkey). He enters as its servant and physician to heal the people of their ailments.
When Jesus enters the Temple of God, he enters as its Great High King forever after the order of Melchizedek. He enters as the One that would bring condemnation upon the mundane money changing, stealing and gambling that may have taken place; He comes to condemn the Temple for its leprosy.
This week, we dive into Leviticus 14 to see how God commands His people to deal with leprosy and in particular, we examine how God commands houses condemned with leprosy to be treated. This all ties in to the cleansing of the Temple and the Temple’s eventual destruction in 70AD.
