Matthew 22:41-46
How is it that the mighty Giant-Slayer David could bow in homage to someone greater than he? How is it that Jesus would call John the Baptist the greatest man to ever live, but John would say “He must increase and I must decrease!”
Consider that all things will be put into subjection under The Messiah; it is not put in subjection to David, but the Son of David, whom David would call “My Lord.”
If mighty King David would submit to King Jesus, so should we!
