“When the Devil Comes”

What can man do against such reckless hate as the author of lies comes to steal, kill and destroy? The enemy is out in the world, but believers should give credit to the enemy in so far as Scripture does. In reality, man is drawn away by his own desires and enticed to sin; that sin when fully developed brings forth death!

We must realize the seriousness of sin; when temptation comes, man will fall because man is evil. When Jesus dies for us and raises again for us, He gives to us a new nature. In Christ, we are now new creations! For those of us in Christ, we are going to be tempted (this is not a matter of whether we are tempted but when we are tempted) but Jesus will provide a way of escape so that we can stand up under it! Flee sin, deal with it radically like Joseph did so long ago!
